Calling All Whovians
Jan. 19th, 2016 03:10 am I wrote a bit of fan fic poetry of Doctor Who during Thank Muse Its Friday. I was fine with it when it first got done but re-looking at it, it feels off. And not just because it's kinda of depressing through that's part of it. I think it's because I don't have a good grasp of the characters and the world.
My apologizes to siliconshaman for being subjected to amateur hour. Is there a rule that all first attempts at fic in a new series must or should end up in the crud-I-made-while-learning-to-write bucket?
I've seen the show before but it was a couple of years ago. Those handful episodes were often stumbled upon in the middle of the episode and involved at least two different incarnations of the Doctor.
Since Doctor Who is on my going-to-watch-this-series-for-real-sometime-gosh-darn-it list anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for newbie to get a feel for the world and its characters? And as well as any good episodes that no would be Whovian should miss?
