Don't know why they aren't made with blinkenlights. Little girl me would have loved it.
The toy versions of the Spiral Moon Heart Rod and the Pink Sugar Heart Rod from Sailor Moon are somewhat similar but their lights only work when you push the button. And they make noise (And yes, those are their actual names).
